Warren Middle School 8th Graders Win Top Honors in Scholastic Writing Contest Credits: Warren Township Schools

WARREN, NJ -  Forty-seven 8th graders at Warren Middle School won top honors in the regional competition of the prestigious 2016 Scholastic Art and Writing Awards. Six of the students received Gold Key awards and will be considered for national recognition, with national medalists to be announced on March 14.

“It is an amazing honor to have 47 eighth grade students from our school win awards,” says language arts teacher Christine Cirrotti who, with fellow LA teacher Dannine Albanese, submitted their students’ creative writing to the contest. “This national writing contest is for students in grades 8 through 12, so our students are among the youngest writers. We are so proud of these writers who have shown their originality and their voices through their great writing.”

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - A Bedminster woman has died from her injuries after being struck by a car in the parking lot of the Bridgewater Commons Mall Monday.
