WARREN, NJ - Want to meet a cop? Need coffee? Warren Township Police will be participating in "Coffee with a Cop" on Aug. 22 from 1-2 p.m. at the Starbucks located at 4 Mt. Bethel Rd.
Coffee with a Cop brings police officers and the community members they serve together to discuss issues and learn more about each other with a mission to break down the barriers between police officers and the citizens they serve.
Department representatives from the Detective Bureau, Traffic Bureau, K9 Unit, and School Resource Officer will be on hand to speak with residents and address any current issues.
“This will be our first year participating in the program and we look forward to talking with residents and answering any questions they may have,” said Warren Police Chief William Keane. “ I feel this program is a valuable way to have positive interaction with the community. And a special thanks to Starbucks for their cooperation and assistance with the event."
Coffee with A Cop was launched in Hawthorne, CA in 2011. To date, More than 10,000 Coffee with a Cop events have been hosted in all 50 states and nine countries in four languages.
