WARREN, NJ - After a presentation by Warren Recreation Director Joe Passaro, the Warren Township Committee voted to adopt a $1.78 million bond ordinance to move forward with the redevelopment and expansion of the municipal pavilion. The committee also passed a resolution to seek grant funding from Somerset County for the entire cost.

Currently, the municipal pavilion behind Town Hall is approximately 2,600 square and the expansion plan is about a total of 7,000 square feet. Built in the early 1960’s, the pavilion is nearing the “end of its useful life,” Passaro said. The proposed pavilion expansion will be able to accommodate all of the various groups that currently use it and more. Children and families, seniors, recreation summer campers and concert goers among them. The new pavilion will be ADA compliant and will have new electrical, a sound system, and new plumbing for expanded bathroom facilities.
