WARREN, NJ - The 4th Annual Warren Township Green Fair, which will be held on April 26 from 10am – 1pm, (May 10 Rain Date) has added additional groups participating to present information and or offer activities and promotions. The entire event is free and all are welcome. In additional to dropping off hard to recycle items, all are invited to stop at the tables set up by local community groups and businesses that are donating their time.
There are two components to the Green Fair. One is the recycling of hard to recycle items and the other is to present a local forum for community groups and related businesses to share information and activities which promote environmentally friendly practices.
The hard to recycle items to be collected includes: electronics (computers, printers, fax machines, cell phones, MP3 players, digital cameras, GPS devices, TV’s game systems, ink cartridges, etc.), papers for shredding, Styrofoam (no packing peanuts of food containers), crayons (new and old, all sizes) gently worn shoes, textiles (draperies, linens, and old clothing), books (no encyclopedias), Medicines (old and new unwanted medicines), eye glasses, scrap metal, plastic bottle caps (from shampoo, milk, beverages, laundry detergents, flip-tops, and pharmaceuticals.
The Medicine collection will take place at the Warren Township Police Department. The electronics recycling, paper shredding, scrap metal recycling will be collected in the municipal parking lot off Bardy Road in front of the rescue squad.
All other collections, activities, and information will be presented at tables set up in front of the Municipal Building at 46 Mountain Boulevard.
