SOMERVILLE, NJ – Kai Peter, age 36, of Mount Horeb Road, pleaded guilty today to 1st Degree, Maintaining a CDS Productions Facility, 1stDegree, Possession of Over 25 Pounds of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, and 2nd Degree, Possession of Less than 5 pounds of Hashish with Intent to Distribute, according to a statement released by Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.
Prosecutor Robertson stated that on March 16, 2016, detectives executed a Superior Court Search Warrant on Peter’s residence which resulted in the seizure of over 100 pounds of marijuana and under five pounds of hashish. The residence was equipped with supplemental ventilating and lighting systems. Detectives also located and seized boxes of plastic bags, humidifiers, vacuum sealers, marijuana cultivation books, mason jars, digital scales, recipes for marijuana candy and other drug paraphernalia items.
In exchange for the guilty plea, before the Honorable Robert Reed, P.J.Cr., the State recommended a sentence of ten years in the New Jersey State Prison with three years of parole ineligibility. Defendant Peter is scheduled to be sentenced on March 10.
