WARREN, NJ - Warren Township Police have announced upcoming road closures due to construction. New Jersey American Water will be installing approximately 1,500 feet of 16-inch water main on Morning Glory Road between Woodland Terrace and Scheurman Terrace, Warren Township Police said.
Weather permitting, sections of Morning Glory Road, from Washington Valley Road to Route 22, along with King George Road, from Washington Valley Road to Morning Glory Road, will be closed to traffic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning on Monday, March 9. Police said there will be no access to Route 22 during this time.
Weather permitting, the project will be completed by approximately April 3. Depending on the date construction is completed; they anticipate that temporary road restoration will be completed by May 1, and final paving to be completed by October.
"We do not expect any disruptions to water service as a result of the work," police said. "Customers may experience a slight discoloration of water when the new pipeline is placed into service." If this happens, run water until it clears up. If problem persists call customer service at the number provided.
"New Jersey American Water and its contractor, Vollers Excavating & Construction, will work to complete this important project as quickly as possible," police said.
