WARREN, NJ - Five talented student musicians will represent Warren Township Schools as they perform with the Central Jersey Region II Symphonic Band and Orchestra in early March.
Warren Middle School 8th grader Alan Wang surpassed 89 competitors to be named 1st Chair Clarinet in the Region II Wind Ensemble. “That’s out of 50 school districts from Summit all the way down to the Princeton area,” says instrumental music teacher Diane McCloskey. “Amazing!”
Seventh grader Daniel Zeng, a clarinetist in the symphonic band, will join Wang in performing at the band concert on March 5, 2017 at 3 p.m. at Bridgewater-Raritan Middle School.
Alexander Chen (8th grade, violin), Valerie Wang (8th grade, viola) and Zoe Wang (7th grade, cello) will perform with the Region II Orchestra on March 4 at 3 p.m. at The Pingry School. Instrumental teacher John Seremula, who conducts the Warren Middle School orchestra, notes that Chen and Wang both earned spots on region and state orchestras the past two years.
