WARREN, NJ - Agie the Warren Keeshond will be competing at the The National Dog Show on Thanksgiving Day. The show will air at noon on NBC after the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.
The National Dog Show is in its 15th year on NBC and is attended by 2,000 of the nation's leading canines from over 170 breeds, including the world's largest, smallest and most exotic, the National Dog Show's website says.
Actor, author and Broadway star John O'Hurley hosts the event.
Agie recently won Best in Breed and then went on to compete and make the cut in the Non Sporting Group at The National Dog Show.
At this show, Agie earned enough points to reach Silver Grand Championship level, pending AKC confirmation. He was a Best in Show winner, Reserve Best in Show winner, Multiple Best in Show winner, and Award of Merit winner at Westminster and is ranked as the No. 3 Keeshond in the nation, All Systems.
"We are so excited to have attended the National Dog Show in Oaks, PA! What a fun show to attend, especially when your dog gets to be under the bright lights and TV cameras," said Linda Fletcher, Agie's human mom.
Only the dogs which have won Best of Breed go on to represent and compete in the group rings which are televised.
Tune to NBC on Thanksgiving Day to see him in action with his handler, Stacy Threlfall, at noon immediately following the Thanksgiving Day Parade
