WARREN, NJ - Watchung Hills girls lacrosse started the season with a victory over Phillipsburg, 14-5, in Thursday's home opener.
Watchung Hills took a 10-1 lead and never looked back. Amanda Carroll and Jules Sofo led Watchung Hills with four goals apiece.
Samantha Menza had a pair of goals in the victory and Lindsey Carroll, Haley Frey, Kelsey Reed, and Lauren Stone each netted one.
In goal, Kiera Vrindten had seven saves and Amanda Trumpore saved six for Watchung Hills.
Ellie Zgoda led Phillipsburg with two goals. Dana Eastman saved nine for Phillipsburg.
