ANNANDALE, NJ - Kelsey Reed scored four goals, Gabby Burton scored three and Amanda Carroll netted one to lead Watchung Hills girls lacrosse past North Hunterdon, 8-7,  during the season opener for both teams on Friday. 
Kiera Vrindten saved 20 goals in Watchung Hills' thrilling win.  With 17 seconds remaining Vrindten dropped to her knees to stop a bouncing Lions shot from tying it up.
With 6:30 left in regulation, Kelsey Reed added her fourth goal of the game forcing overtime with the score, 6-6. Burton scored two of her three goals in overtime to secure the win.

Taylor Danson saved 10 for North Hunterdon.
The Warriors ended last season 13-4, losing to Immaculate Heart 8-17 in the first round of the North Jersey, Group 4 tournament.
