BRIDGEWATER, NJ - With a Whole Foods and three other retailers already locked in, there is still quite a bit of space open for tenants in the newly planned retail space at Route 22 and Chimney Rock Road.
The new plaza is expected to be anchored by a Whole Foods Market, set at 50,000 square feet, and bordered by Route 22 and Frontier Road.
Near the Whole Foods, on that side of the planned development, will be The Container Store, set at 23,634 square feet.
On the other side of the center, off Chimney Rock Road and Route 22, will be Saks Off 5th, at 34,090 square feet, and Nordstrom Rack, at 35,975 square feet.
The total square footage of the retail space, being run by Regency Centers, is 217,966.
Construction is underway, but representatives with Regency Centers said they don’t have an exact timetable for when the stores will open.
“After we complete our build-out, we will hand the spaces over to the tenants, who will then do their own construction depending on their store design,” said Eric Davidson, communications manager with Regency Centers. “There is a lot that can speed up or slow down construction at that point, so we’ll really have to play it by ear for a specific time period.”
