WARREN, NJ –  Tyler Lombardo gave up just two hits with two walks and four strikeouts to lead the Watchung Hills baseball team over Gill St. Bernard's in the quarterfinals of the Somerset County Tournament, 16-0, in five-innings on Monday.

Watchung Hills advances to host Thursday's semifinals against Bridgewater-Raritan. The Panthers defeated Hillsborough, 4-3, on Monday afternoon.

Chris Roth and Nick Mink each had two hits with a double, two runs, and two RBI and Brandon Hylton went 2-for-3 with two RBI for Watchung Hills.

Mike Murray added two hits with two runs and an RBI for Watchung Hills.

The victory was Lombardo's sixth win of the season. 

“This was just a great team win,” said Watchung Hills coach Joe Tremarco. “The offense really stepped up and locked in, working good hitters’ counts and we did not try to do too much with the ball.”

Watchung Hills improves to 15-3 on the season, while Gill St. Bernards falls to 13-6.
