WHRHS Baseball: Hustlin' Warriors Defeat Defending Somerset County Champs on Opening Day Port Walk-Off

WARREN, NJ - The Watchung Hills Varsity Baseball Team captured an opening day victory against the defending Somerset County Champion Hillsborugh Raider's on senior John Port's game-winning pinch-hit single in the bottom of the seventh to edge the Raiders, 5-4, on Friday.
Port's single scored Alex Simon capping a three-run rally in the seventh. Brian Reiss hurled all seven innings for Watchung Hills, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits and a walk while striking out one.
Asher Masten allowed three runs in three innings for Hillsborough, allowing four hits and two walks and striking out four.
