WARREN, NJ - The Hustlin' Warriors of Watchung Hills defeated Freehold Township on Friday, 3-1.

 

Watchung Hills senior Kevin Sylvestri pitched a complete game giving up one unearned run on three hits, one walk, and struck out 11 to improve to 5-1 on the season. 

 

Brandon Hylton was 1 for 2 with 2 runs scored, Jeff Poggi was 1 for 3 with 2 RBI's and Mike Murray went 1 for 2 with an RBI.

"Sylvestri did a great job today! Had all his pitches working and great command of his secondary stuff," said WHRHS head coach Joe Tremarco. "Was very important to end the week strong heading into the home stretch and the state tournament. Welcoming the warm weather next week!"

Senior Greg Najar scored the lone run for Freehold Township and Ryan Ford suffered the loss.

 

Watchung Hills improves to 12-8 on the season.
