WARREN, NJ - The Watchung Hills Hustlin' Warriors varsity baseball team defeated North Hunterdon on Wednesday to advance to the  Semi Final Round of the NJSIAA North 2 Group 4 Tournament, 4-3.


The Warriors scored four runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to lead 4-1.


James McKenna was 2 for 3 with a double and a run scored. Tyler Kulisz was 2 for 3 with a run scored and an RBI. Brandon Hylton and Tyler Riley had an RBI apiece.

Poggi, Mckenna, McGann & Kulisz scored off RBIs from Murray, Riley, Kulisz and Hylton.


Mike Murray threw 6 1/3 innings giving up three runs (2 earned) on four hits, five walks,  and struck out four to earn the win in the North 2 Group 4 Quarterfinals. Joe Blajsa came in in the 7th and collected the save giving up no runs on no hits while walking one. 


"Murray pitched a great game!" said WHRHS head coach Joe Tremarco. "Just another great day to be a Hustlin' Warrior! Pitching and defense kept us in it!"


Busher was 1 for 3 with a triple for North Hunterdon. Schumacher took the loss.


Watchung Hills will face the winner of Scotch Plains Fanwood vs Millburn. If Scotch Plains wins, the Warriors will host and if Millburn wins, Millburn will host. UPDATE: Millburn shut out Scotch Plains on Friday so the Hustlin' Warriors will play in Millburn on Tuesday.
