WARREN, NJ - Dan Pilsbury scored a game-high 27 points to lead the Watchung Hills Warriors over the Franklin Warriors on Thursday, 77-65.

Watchung Hills started slow but took a 38-34 lead into the half. 

Steven Bressler sunk 17 points, Gavin DeFuria added 10 points with two 3-pointers, Drew Taylor chipped in nine, Ryan Keller netted eight, Brian Leon added four and freshman Michael Bressler chipped in two.

"We are happy with the result, " said WHRHS head coach Justin Salton. "Got off to another rough start going down 0-10, but we were able to manufacture some energy and play well the rest of the way. We are at a good 15-5 Timothy Christian tomorrow, so we hope to play well together again."

Lamont Purcell scored a team-high 21 points with two three-pointers for Franklin.

Watchung Hills next plays Timothy Christian in Piscataway at 6:45 Friday.
