NEWARK, NJ - The Watchung Hills boys basketball team fell to Newark East Side in the first round of the NJSIAA North 2, Group 4 Tournament on Monday, 83-51. 

Dan Pilsbury led Watchung Hills with 27 points and 12 rebounds. 

Senior Elijah Olaniyi scored a game-high 40 points for second-seeded Newark East Side.

"We would like to thank all of the seniors and their families for all of their work and commitment over these last four years, said WHRHS head coach Justin Salton. "We hope that they can carry some of the things we tried to instill in them  throughout the future."

Newark East Side advances to Wednesday's quarterfinals and will host the winner between Piscataway and Bayonne.
