GLADSTONE, NJ - Paul Mulcahy recorded a double-double for top-seeded Gill St. Bernard's (20-4) with 31 points, 14 rebounds, six assists and two steals to lead Gill over Watchung Hills in the semi-final round of the Somerset County Tournament on Thursday, 71-43. 

William Soucie also had a double-double with 14 points, 10 rebounds and three assists for Gill. For fourth-seeded Watchung Hills (18-7), Dan Pilsbury led with 14 points and Gavin DeFuria scored 11 points. 

WHRHS head coach Justin Salton posted, ”We came up short tonight in the semifinals after being down 24-26 at the half. Too many 2nd half TOs against a great team in Gill, but we battled and will grow from this disappointment. Love my boys and student crew🏀👌🏼 #family #muchlove”

The Watchung Hills tribe that travelled to the game made it seem more like a home game for the Warriors.

Gill St. Bernard's will face second-seeded Rutgers Prep in the final on Saturday at 3 p.m. at Franklin. 

Watchung Hills is now 18-7 and next plays Warren Hills at home on Friday at 7 p.m.
