PLAINFIELD, NJ - Steven Bressler netted 17 points and Dan Pilsbury added 16 points to lead Watchung Hills over Plainfield on Saturday, 58-44. 

Freshman Chad Martini added a double double with 10 points and 11 rebounds and Gavin DeFuria scored 11 points for the Warriors.

Plainfield took the early lead 17-9 after the first quarter but the Warriors came back to take a 29-23 lead into the half. Watchung Hills never trailed again.

“In our last game at the state cutoff of the first 16 games, we were able to get a solid win over a battle-tested team in Plainfield,” said WHRHS head coach Justin Salton. “We had a very sluggish first half, but out together a terrific second half to come up with a good win. We have struggled on the road for some reason, but will have two more big opportunities to earn conference wins next week. This upcoming will be arguably one of the biggest weeks in school history.”

Dante McCray scored 16 points to lead  Plainfield. 

Watchung Hills improves to 11-5 and Plainfield drops to 7-9 on the season. 

The Warriors next play Immaculata in Somerville on Tuesday.
