WARREN,NJ - The eighth-seeded Watchung Hills Warriors had a strong opening game in the State Tournament, defeating ninth-seeded Livingston 14-6.

The Warriors were dominant on offense yet again, as both Ryan Cunningham and Tyler Furlong accumulated four goals and an assist.

Following the two was Sean Mullaney, who led the team in points, putting three in the back of the net and assisting on four goals.

Alec Orazietti had two goals and three assists while freshman Brian Richmond scored another goal. Chris Clintock had two assists in the team's win.

However, the face-off game by Frank Butrico arguably had the biggest impact on the game, as he dominated the opposing player, creating more time on offense and more opportunities.

In goal was senior Jack Ayre, who stopped 14 shots, accumulating another win in the process. 

The Warriors will play on the road against first-seeded Bridgewater Raritan on Tuesday. The Warriors fell to BR by a score of 7-2 in their season opener.
