WARREN, NJ - The Watchung Hills boys lacrosse team remains unbeaten after topping North Hunterdon on senior night Saturday, 6-2.
“It was great to come away with another win, especially on a night where we honored our senior class for their commitment to the lacrosse program and contributions over the course of the past four years,” said WHRHS head coach Jamie Lovejoy. “We had our challenges, but were again able to lean on a strong defensive effort and consistency in our speciality positions.”
Gavin DeFuria had two goals and an assist and Anthony DeNave, Connor James, Joe Rica and Michael Salerno each netted one for the Warriors.
Spencer Bokach made 11 saves in goal for Watchung Hills.
Prior to the game, the seniors and their parents were recognized.
“Congratulations to our boys lacrosse team on their exciting win over North Hunterdon tonight on senior night! “ said WHRHS Director of Athletics Chris Van Vliet in an e-mail post game. “It was a great job by Coach Lovejoy, his staff, and all of our lacrosse athletes, especially our seniors. Way to go boys!”
Watchung Hills is now 8-0 on the season and next plays Montgomery on Tuesday.
