WARREN, NJ - The Watchung Hills Regional High School boys soccer team will open the season at home against Montgomery on Saturday, Oct. 3. The game starts at 3 p.m. on the turf at Tozier Field with a ceremony honoring the seniors prior to the game.


”To be a competitive attacking team that competes for a conference championship,” said WHRHS head coach Greg Leonow when asked for his outlook on the upcoming season. “We have a large senior class with a lot of experience.”


The Warriors will look to key returning varsity players Leonard Calvo, Sean Cleary, Oliver Cobas, Samuel DeMizio, Matthew Dumiec, Tiago Fonseca, Michael Guiliano, Endy Granados, Joseph Maziarz, and Alexander Ruta, Leonow said. And to key newcomers to varsity, Alexander Carnevale, a freshman midfielder, Alexander Kotar a freshman defender, and a pair of sophomore midfielders Leonardo Morales and Aaron Opell.
