WARREN, NJ - Ryan Widman scored one minute into the first round of the NJSIAA North 2 Group 4 State tournament to lead Scotch Plains-Fanwood over Watchung Hills on Tuesday, 2-1.

“A disappointing end to the season but we are very proud of the boys for all of their work and dedication, said WHRHS coach Justin Salton. “We had some great moments this year and we will miss this group. We would like to thank all of our seniors and wish them the best in all of their future endeavors. A couple of tough goals today, which is hard to bounce back from in a state game. The team played hard and we will miss them.”

Watchung Hills created a few scoring opportunities and nearly tied the score at one when a header from Davin Lui smacked the crossbar and landed in front of the goal line.
