WARREN, NJ - The Watchung Hills Class of 2020 walked across the stage and completed their high school careers during the 63rd annual commencement ceremony at Tozier Field on Wednesday. While assembling, the Seniors were congratulated with a flyover, courtesy of Project Graduation. See video here.

Senior Class President Deepa Irakam , All School Council President Roopa Irakam, Valedictorian Katie Tan and Salutatorian Mayur Sharma all addressed the crowd.

Tan challenged the class to “ continue to ask questions and seek answers,” and thanked them for the 3 3/4 years they spent together at Watchung Hills. “ Stay curious. Stay aware. And we will build a world a world we want to create,” she said. See video here

The senior  choral group: AriyaBlow,CaseyGreen,MatthewMacCrell,DanaWasserman,Katerina Calvo, Christine Tanko, Sarah Marreiros, Zachary Rieger, Jack Melillo, Giovana DiSanto, and Scott Romankow, sang the National Anthem, Produced, Mixed and edited under the direction of Angela Bird, Will Johnson, and Jordan Pincus. Musical Interludes were: “I Will Remember You,” by Sarah McLachlan: Scott Romankow and Katerina Calvo. 


And “In My Life,” and “With a Little Help from My Friends” by The Beatles: Jack Melillo and Christine Tanko accompanied by Benjamin Kosakowski.


Principal William Librera delivered the Commencement Address and encouraged the class to take time to savor the moments. See video here

Superintendent Elizabeth Jewett presented the Class of 2020 and WHRHS Board of Education president Rita Barone accepted the Class of 2020.

Jewett said,” There’s no better time than now for you to seize all of the opportunities presented to you.” And then it was time to toss the caps and celebrate! See video here
