WARREN, NJ - In two defensive battles, the Watchung Hills boys and girls soccer teams held Hillsborough scoreless in their games on Tuesday.

Pawel Cudnoch scored the only goal of the game for Watchung Hills boys soccer team on an assist from Hans Hoffman in its 1-0 victory over Hillsborough on Tuesday afternoon.

And the girls game on Tuesday night was scoreless. Lady Warriors goaltender Kaylee Donnelly saved 14 to deny Hillsborough a chance to get on the board. The game ended in a scoreless tie, 0-0.

Hillsborough keeper Olivia Bandola stopped nine shots.

The Lady Warriors record now stands at 7-3-2 and they've earned a bye into the quarterfinals of the Somerset County Tournament.

Watchung Hills boys record improves to 5-2 with the victory and they will face Bound Brook in the first round of the Somerset County Tournament on Saturday at 10 a.m. on the Warriors home field.
