BASKING RIDGE, NJ - Robin McCabe struck out 13 and allowed just one run on five hits to lead the Watchung Hills softball team over Ridge on Wednesday, 10-1.

“It was a huge win today,” said WHRHS assistant coach Jeff Dealaman. “Our girls were fired up coming into the game as it was our last game before the county seeding meeting tonight and it was against a team in Ridge that beat North Hunterdon, the only team that had beaten us so far this season.

Robin McCabe was in top form today, throwing a complete game, striking out 13 and didn’t give up an earned run. Our offense was really strong again, led by Erin Bean who went 3-for-5 with two doubles and four runs scored. It was a really nice start to a crazy stretch for us, we’re playing nine games over the course of the next 10 days. The win should help us secure a top two seed in the county tournament.”
