Bird is approximately 6'1 and 200 pounds with short gray hair, blue eyes, a beard, glasses and a scar on his abdomen. He has been mssing since approximately 4:30 p.m. on Jan. 11, when he went out for a walk wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with yellow zippers and blue jeans. He is an avid walker and distance runner. There is a possibility due to a medical condition that he may be disoriented or confused. He is not dangerous.
Police ask residents in the area to check their properties for any unusual activity, including checking enclosed areas such as garages, boats, sheds, and cars. In addition, the Investigative Team in Long Hill has requested that all businesses and residents in Millington, Basking Ridge and Warren Township check their home and business security surveillance videos for any evidence that Bird walked past their house or business.
