Explore the ‘Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’ at the Library

Submitted by SCLSNJ’s Warren Township Library branch

As the days get shorter and the nights get colder, the desire to explore the strange and unusual grows stronger and harder to resist. Things start to go bump in the night – even at your local Library.

SCLSNJ’s Warren Township Library branch, located at 42 Mountain Blvd. in Warren Twp., will host Raconteur Radio and their staged radio play of The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde on Saturday, October 7 at 2 p.m. The event has been funded by the Friends of the Warren Township Library and is suggested for ages 10 and up.

The play, based on the classic 1886 novella by Scottish author Robert Louis Stevenson, tells the story of a London lawyer named Gabriel John Utterson who investigates strange occurrences between his old friend, Dr. Henry Jekyll, and the evil Edward Hyde.

Raconteur Radio is based out Metuchen, NJ and has performed a variety of theatrical vintage radio plays, classic works of literature, and pop culture parodies for live audiences throughout the Tri-State area.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Visit SCLSNJ.org, call the Warren Township branch at 908-754-5554 ext. 8453, or email warrentownship@sclibnj.org to learn more and register.
