Letters to the Editor

Please Join me in voting for Jill LaZare for State Senate.

I’m endorsing Jill LaZare for the State Senate of NJ. Jill has lived in New Jersey all of her life. She has lived with her husband and children in Union County for almost 20 years.

Her background as a New Jersey lawyer gives her experience in dealing with the NJ government. It also gives her a thorough understanding of New Jersey laws.

Five years ago, Jill’s daughter tragically died from a drug overdose three days before her 24th birthday. Jill could have given up and withdrawn from public life, but this horrible event only strengthened her resolve. Jill was an essential asset to passing the bipartisan ‘Good Samaritan/Drug Overdose’ legislation that makes it easier for people who have overdosed on drugs to quickly get the help they need. This legislation has saved countless lives.

Jill always makes the best of bad situations. After passionately supporting Hillary Clinton and being disappointed by her loss in the 2016 election, Jill did not give up. In January she was one of the thousands of women who met up in New York to protest the Trump Administration. Jill continues to protest the Trump agenda today.

Another priority Jill has is to have stricter gun control. Jill wants to make our communities safer from gun violence by evaluating potential gun owners to ensure that guns don’t end up in the wrong hands. For example, she doesn’t want anyone on the no-fly list to own guns and supports stricter limits on magazine sizes.

All in all, Jill LaZare would make a great state senator because she is smart, dedicated, has experience with legislation, and is passionate about everything she does.

Instead, it turned out to be a nearly 40-year odyssey in local journalism—including the last eight—overwhelmingly great—years with The Alternative Press (TapInto.Net).

I have decided it is time to spend more time in ...
