Evening Yoga at Berkeley Heights Vegan Fest 2019

The Berkeley Heights Environmental Commission (BHEC) and Sustainable Berkeley Heights are co-sponsoring Berkeley Heights Vegan Fest 2019, which runs from Friday, Sept. 20 - Sunday, Sept. 22.  Vegan Fest features yoga, a children's high-energy dance session, educational panels, and a fabulous vegan cook-off (pre-registration is required for all entries - register at bit.ly/BHVF2019).  All events are free and open to the public.

Help kick off Vegan Fest's second year by joining us as the sun sets for evening yoga on Friday, Sept. 20 at 6 p.m. in The Grove Park at the Connell Center, 200 Connell Drive.   Certified yoga instructor LeeAnn Gerrato will lead participants in a yoga session on the dias area.  The beautifully landscaped park area and surrounding waterfall-like fountain provide the perfect setting for this event.  People of all ages and skill levels – from novices to masters – are invited to attend.

Participants should arrive in comfortable, work-out clothing and should bring a filled water canister as well as a yoga mat or beach towel.  The BHEC and Sustainable Berkeley Heights hope that this event will encourage participants to not only get outdoors and enjoy the environment, but to also engage in yoga or other practices that promote good physical health and mindfulness while also awakening their focus on the mind-body-spirit connection.

The Grove Park at the Connell Center is located between Lifetime Fitness and the Embassy Suites Hotel.  From Connell Drive, you can access The Grove Park from the sidewalk along Connell Drive by walking up the grand staircase with 2 large planters at the base and another 2 planters at the top.
