WARREN, NJ -  The Watchung Hills Marching Warriors won the Yamaha Cup at Met Life Stadium on Saturday night for the first time in school history with a score of 84.3.  In addition to taking first, the Marching Warriors  also won for Best "Overall Effect" and Percussion.

On the success of the marching band, director Paul McCullen said "This was a BIG DEAL for us. This is a band that just four years ago started becoming a competitive group and wasn't completely ready for that challenge. Here we are, and thanks to the hard work of our students (including the work of our alumni), our great staff, and support from our parents and administration. To come this far in such a short time, it is just wonderful."

And it was the second first place finish this year.
