Severe Thunderstorm Warning in Effect for Somerset County, Take Cover

SOMERSET COUNTY, NJ - The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a  Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Somerset County until 515 PM.  

At 4:25 p.m. a severe thunderstorm was located over Bound Brook, moving northeast at 20 mph the weather service said. 


The advisory cautioned:

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated.

Somerset County Freeholders to Place Wreath at 9/11 Memorial

Missing Person: Police Seeking Information on Missing 86-Year-Old Male


UPDATE: Found safe.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Bridgewater Township Police are seeking the public's help in locating a missing 86-year-old "at risk" male, who was last seen Friday afternoon on Mallard Drive in Martinsville.

According to the alert, Alexander R. Dirner, was last seen around 3:30 p.m. Friday in Martinsville.
