SOMERVILLE, NJ - The Somerset County Department of Health on Sunday reported a total of 5,513 cases of the COVID-19 coronavirus, an increase of 15 cases overnight, with the death toll at 510 since the first case was reported March 8.
The New Jersey Department of Health Sunday reported a total of 213,628 positive cases of the coronavirus since the pandemic began its spread in the state 224 days ago, and a total of 14,386 deaths during that time, an increase of 3 overnight. There have been 3,914,021 COVID-19 tests administered in New Jersey.
The number of COVID-19 cases worldwide is now 37,704,189, including 1,080,600 deaths, according to the federal Centers for Disease Control & Prevention on Sunday morning, with 7,986,059 cases in the United States and 219,675 deaths.
The SCDOH has confirmed the deaths of 154 Franklin Township residents; 75 in Hillsborough/Millstone; 75 in Bridgewater; 42 in Bernards Township; 37 in North Plainfield; 33 in Green Brook; 15 in Watchung; 15 in Raritan; 13 in Bound Brook; 16 in Warren; 7 in Manville; 7 in Somerville; 6 in Montgomery; 6 in Branchburg; 4 in Bedminster; 3 in Bernardsville; 3 in South Bound Brook and one in Peapack-Gladstone.
No COVID-19 deaths have been reported in Far Hills, Millstone or Rocky Hill.
