WARREN, NJ - Much of the talk yesterday at various events around town was of the Super Bowl, the logistics of getting there, and the controversial ads. But not surprising given Warren's love of animals, it was also of the Puppy Bowl.

Who will win the LombarkyTrophy?

The Puppy Bowl is an annual television program on Animal Planet that mimics a football bowl game similar to the Super Bowl, using puppies.  Shown each year on Super Bowl Sunday, the show consists of footage of puppies at play inside a model stadium, with commentary on their actions. The first Puppy Bowl was shown on February 6, 2005.

All of the puppies, about 80 a year, come from shelters across the country, and the show boasts a 100 percent adoption success rate. Animal Planet worked with 44 different animal shelters and rescue organizations from across the U.S. to fill the rosters of #TeamRuff and #TeamFluff with adoptable players.

So what time does the Puppy Bowl start? Puppy Bowl XIII will take place on Sunday, Feb. 4 at 3 p.m. on Animal Planet.

The network also is partnering with the Pro Football Hall of Fame to introduce the Puppy Bowl Hall of Fame to highlight the importance of adult-pet adoption.
