PARKLAND, FL- The tragedy at Stoneman Douglas in February of 2018 affected people near and far. As the greater Parkland community continues to heal, one the most helpful groups in the healing process are being recognized this year in a more formal way.

The 14 therapy dogs that were brought onto campus following the shooting have their own yearbook page in the 2019 MSD High School Yearbook.

The pups that brought kindness, care, and comfort to the students in the weeks following the shooting were so popular that they have been brought back periodically for the entire 2018-2019 school year, thus creating the idea of giving them representation in the annual yearbook publication.

The dogs do anything from hanging around in social spaces on campus to joining classes on occasion. Feedback has been tremendously positive from the students and the community as a whole.
