WARREN, NJ - Warren ranks No. 30 in New Jersey Family’s "Best Towns for Families" 2019 List, published on njfamily.com. Nearby, Bernard’s ranks No. 5, Green Brook ranks No. 20, Berkeley Heights ranks No. 21, Watchung No. 201, and North Plainfield No. 434. Montgomery is No. 1 this year.

New Jersey Family looked at every municipality in the state with a population of more than 1,500 and measured them against key factors, plus others that make life easier, like accessibility to hospitals and average commute time. According to the site, statistics were compiled on tax rates, average home sale price, public school ratings, crime rates, median household income, the percentage of families with children under the age of 18, average travel time to work and the proximity of restaurants, hospitals and grocery/convenience stores. They then used an algorithm to produce the list.
