WARREN, NJ - The Warren Township Police will be participating in the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) “Operation Take Back” to give members of the public an opportunity to rid their homes of potentially dangerous, expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs, patches and pet medications.
Residents are asked to bring any approved unwanted items to the Warren Township Police Department at 44 Mountain Blvd. on Saturday, Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
To preserve privacy, residents are asked to remove personal information from prescription bottles. Liquids, needles and sharps are not permitted to be dropped in the box. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
The Warren Township Police Department and the Warren Township Committee announced joining the New Jersey Attorney General’s “Project Medicine Drop” initiative last March and have installed a Project Medicine Drop box at police headquarters.
Residents may visit the Warren Township Police Department any time, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, to dispose of their unused, expired or excess pills, capsules, patches and pet medications anonymously with no questions asked. Liquids, needles and syringes cannot be placed in the box.
