SOMERSET, NJ - The man responsible for the May 18 shooting death at Naaman Williams Park has been arrested, according to Somerset County Prosecutor Michael H. Robertson.

Police say Najee K. Croom aka “Na Murder”, 27, of New Brunswick shot David D. Anderson, 30, of Franklin multiple times at the park during a large gathering of people. Police say Anderson was transported to an area hospital by a civilian. He subsequently succumbed to his injuries while undergoing emergency treatment, police say.

"A six-month investigation was conducted by the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crimes Unit, the Crime Scene Investigations Unit and the Franklin Township Police Department which resulted in numerous witness interviews being conducted during the follow-up investigation," Robertson said in a news release.
