DENVILLE, NJ - The principal of a Denville middle school is facing charges including attempted sexual assault of a student, according to authorities. The middle school, while named Valleyview, has no connection to Valley View Middle School in Watchung.
The man, Paul Iantosca, 52, who is principal of Valleyview Middle School, was charged with one count of luring, one count of attempted sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child, said Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp, Acting Morris County Prosecutor’s Office Chief of Investigations Christoph Kimker and Denville Police Chief Frank Perna.
Iantosca is a Randolph resident, said the authorities.
They said Iantosca engaged in the illegal actions with a 16-year-old former student. Iantosca is being held in the Morris County jail, they noted.
Denville Superintendent of Schools Steven Forte was unavailable for questions or comments, and the authorities said they are not releasing any more information.
