WARREN, NJ - A $40,000 fraudulent wire transfer and a residential burglary were reported over the Thanksgiving week in Warren.
A Reinman Road resident reported an incident of fraud on Thursday, Nov. 28. A wire transfer of $40,000 was sent on Tuesday, Nov. 26, to a subject posing as the victim’s Realtor’s assistant, police said.
On Wednesday, a Rockage Road resident reported a burglary. At some time between Sunday, Nov. 24 and Wednesday, Nov. 27. entry was gained through an unlocked rear door, however it appears nothing was removed, police said. Also on Wednesday, a King George Road resident reported identity fraud. Police said two credit cards were opened using the victims information and two charges totaling approximately $643 were charged.
