Let’s Make Some Noise for Our Local Heroes Tonight!
Please remember to Make Some Noise for our essential workers this evening at 7:00 p.m. Our neighbors in Watchung Borough will be joining with us to express appreciation to our healthcare workers, first responders, grocery clerks, pharmacists, and others who are providing necessary services.
Watchung officials have issued a press release saying, “Watchung would like to support our neighbors to the west by joining in Warren’s efforts to recognize the service of our essential workers. Watchung, too, will Make Some Noise for our local heroes this Thursday, April 23 from 7:00 – 7:05 p.m.”
Committeewoman Jolanta Maziarz, on behalf of the Township Committee, expresses her appreciation to Watchung Borough for joining with the residents of Warren in recognizing our essential workers.
From 7:00 p.m to 7:05 p.m. tonight, the Warren Township Committee is urging all residents to go outside and ring a bell, blow a whistle, honk your horn, bang a pot, or clap your hands to thank all of the essential workers who have served us. We would like to continue showing our support in this way every Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. until further notice.
Deputy Mayor Lazo stated, “Let’s spread some cheer to those providing critical and necessary services and recognize their dedication.”
Residents, businesses, and houses of worship throughout the Township are encouraged to participate in this show of support.
