WARREN, NJ - Warren Township has a new mayor and deputy mayor for 2020. Mayor Gary DiNardo nominated Committeeman Michael “ Mick” Marion for mayor and chairperson of the township committee and Marion nominated George Lazo for the position of deputy mayor and vice chairperson of the Warren Township committee at the committee’s 2020 reorganization meeting on Monday. Both were unanimously approved.( see video here)

Marion provided a look forward into 2020, including a tax reduction.

And Jolanta Maziarz was sworn in to a three-year term at the meeting by State Assemblywoman Nancy Munoz, R-Somerset and Union. ( see video here)

Father Sean Kenney of Our Lady of the Mount Roman Catholic Church delivered the invocation and Boy Scout Troop 228 presented the colors.

A who’s who in New Jersey, Somerset County and Warren Township attended the meeting including Senator Thomas Kean Jr., Assemblyman Jon Bramnick, Governor Donald DiFrancesco, Kip Bateman, Green Brook Mayor Patrick Boccio, and former Warren Mayors Susie Boyce and Mal Plager.

Bramnick commended the committee for the “class, style, experience, and the way they treat each other.”
