“I’m proud of how we responded after the last two weeks,” said WHRHS head coach Rich Seubert.  “This team has a lot of fight it them and I’m proud of all of them.  It was great to get the schools first win against Elizabeth tonight. All the credit to them as they never quit and played hard the entire game.

Special teams tonight made some big plays for us that helped us in a big way.  Leone blocked an extra point, Stephens ran a kick off back for a TD with great blocking from the kickoff return team, Kelly recovered a fumble on kick off, and Leone caught a fake punt to finish the game.  It was a team effort on Defense tonight led by Leone with 11 tackles and Russo with 10 tackles.

Offensively it was a team effort running the ball, Taub with 103 yards and a TD and Adam Claxton with 91 yards and 2 TD’s.  We need to get back to work this week and get ready for Montgomery on Senior night.”
