WARREN, NJ - The Warren Middle School PTO thanked the Warren Township Police Lt. Yaccarino, Township Administrator Mark Krane and Stoncrest Church for their help with the eighth grade drive through celebration on Tuesday.

They said:

We couldn’t be more grateful for the amount of support both logistically and physically your department and the township gave to our PTO and schools when we really needed it the most.
We saw your signs along the route and what a lovely personal touch that was. I have to be honest in saying that many of the teens leaving middle school had an “I’m too cool for this” attitude going in, and I was surprised to see not only 174 of the 196 graduates show up, but by the end, they were proud of being celebrated.

Please know that this could never have happened without your partnership and willingness to find some way to celebrate these kids.

I understand that many media outlets showed up today. No idea who contacted them, but we were grateful to the town, when asked by them, how this finally worked out. Hopefully, you’ll be able to catch some videos or pictures on any one of the multiple social media platforms that I know things have been posted on already.

I’m also proud to say that Stonecrest church took in a huge amount in their food bank donations today and you should be proud of that as well. It’s communities like this working together for the good of everyone that make living in this kind of town worth it.

I dropped off some remaining graduation 2020 pretzels earlier today when we finished and I hope they were enjoyed.
We wish we could do so much more, but we do look forward to having the opportunity to partner again in potential donations once our executive board has the opportunity to assess this year’s ‘damage’ in comparison to next year’s needs. But we will be in touch to discuss what we might be able to do. I’m honored to have worked with you and look forward to doing so again for more good reasons.

Best to all of you who serve to keep us safe in this town,

Heather Silver And the WMS PTO 2019-20 Exec Board
