WAYNE, NJ – The Wayne Township Health Department has been conducting free COVID-19 testing for Wayne residents on Wednesdays. Yesterday, Mayor Chris Vergano has announced several new testing dates added in the month of October.
Just outside the entrance to the Wayne Health Department, in front of Town Hall is a large white tent where Wayne’s public health nurses collect saliva samples for COVID testing. It is here where Wayne residents, Wayne Township employees and Wayne Board of Education employees can go for testing, but only if they schedule an appointment first.

“We thought it would be beneficial to add several other dates to our schedule for our residents’ convenience,” said Vergano. “We will continue the program into November as well and will be adding more dates to the program soon.”

- Thursday, October 15, 1:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.
