TRENTON, NJ - New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy ordered all flags in New Jersey to fly at half staff until sundown Friday in honor of the 500, 000 Americans lost during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The order follows President Joe Biden's proclamation on Monday ordering all flags on federal property to be flown at half staff. 

There have been 20,689 COVID-19 deaths in NJ. Locally, Nutley is mourning 53 residents lost to the pandemic.
