PATERSON, NJ - Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in a hit-and-run accident that left a 39-year-old Paterson man with serious injuries on Saturday, June 27.

According to Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Paterson Police Chief Ibrahim Baycora, the incident took place at approximately 11:43 p.m. when the victim was crossing Totowa Avenue in the area of Marion Street. As he was crossing, the man was struck by what was depicted on surveillance video as a light colored Dodge Caravan which was missing its passenger side mirror. After striking the male, the suspect vehicle fled the scene before the police arrived. 

Investigators request anyone with knowledge of this accident, or the vehicle depicted in the surveillance video, to please contact the authorities.
