WAYNE, NJ – The polls closed at 8:00pm today and the preliminary results from the Wayne Town Clerk are in.  These are the tally of votes from the voting machines.  The tally from Ward Five, District 4 has not come in yet.

  • Projected Winners:
    • Michael L. Bubba with 3,640 Votes - 38.70% 
    • Suzanne Pudup with 3,701 Votes - 39.35% 
    • TBD -  2,064 Votes - 21.95% 

Wayne Township Council

Based on the preliminary numbers, five of the six Republican Incumbents look to be keeping their seats on the council. Francine Ritter is projected to be the winner in Ward Five, unseating Aileen Rivera and making her the lone Democrat on the Council.

      • Arlene Sullivan - 410 Votes - 46.02%

      • Al Sadowski - 867 Votes - 58.46% 
      • Dianne Douthat - 614 Votes - 41.4%
      • Write-in - 2 Votes - .13%
    • Ward 3:
      • Franco Mazzei - 811 Votes 52.46%
      • Karen Dowicz-Haas - 734 Votes - 47.48%
      • Write-in - 1 Vote - .06%
    • Ward 4:
      • Joseph Scuralli - 916 Votes - 60.74% 
      • Kenneth Tahan - 554 Votes - 36.74%
      • Christian Smith - 38 Votes - 2.52%
    • Ward 5*:
      • Francine Ritter - 497 Votes - 55.04% 
      • Lucy "Aileen" Rivera - 404 Votes - 44.74%
      • Write-in - 2 Votes - .22%
    • Ward 6:
      • Jonathan Ettman  652 Vortes - 98.64% 
      • Write-in - 9 Votes - .1.36%
