PATERSON, NJ - A two-phase investigation by the Paterson Police Department’s Narcotics Division into drug activity in the area of Godwin Avenue and Auburn Street led to 15 arrests, including one Wayne resident.

According to Public Safety Director Jerry Speziale, the first phase commenced at approximately 10:00 a.m. and led to 14 arrests of accused drug buyers and drug sellers, including two juveniles.  

At approximately 7:45 p.m., detectives executed a search warrant for a Hamilton Avenue apartment, as well as for a vehicle believed to be utilized earlier in the day to facilitate drug sales.

While Detectives discovered 250 glassine envelopes of suspected heroin and 26 vials of suspected crack cocaine inside the vehicle being driven by Trayvon R. Sparks, they also recovered an additional 98 vials of crack cocaine, an American Tactical Firefly .22 caliber handgun, and drug paraphernalia consistent with a controlled dangerous substance production facility inside the home. 

In total more than 1,000 glassine envelopes of heroin, 137 vials of crack cocaine, $8,184 in US currency was seized in the operation.  

In addition to the two juveniles and Trayvon Sparks, arrested were:

  • George M. Love, 30
  • Jenna R. Campbell, 27
  • Iania Larzar, 45, Clfton
  • Erica Duran, 35, Clifton
  • Erin R. Remmert, 34, Oak Ridge
  • Anthony Demarco, 25
  • Joseph R. Abruzese, 33, Garner, North Carolina
  • Brianna Ecehm, 33, Garner, North Carolina
  • Moataz M. Sheira, 37, Lake Hiawatha
  • Jacqueline Vazquez, 54

Also, an arrest warrant has been issued for Justin M. Dennison, a resident of the apartment that was raided.

All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
