Free Cyberbullying Workshop To Be Held

A free community event; working together for our kids


[WAYNE, October 21]— Join us for an important free workshop that will provide an overview

of cyberbullying among school-aged youth on Wednesday, October 30 starting at 7:15pm at the Wayne YMCA.


Topics will include:

  • The nature of bullying
  • The impact on academic, emotional, and behavioral well-being
  • Evidence-based recommendations for intervention
  • The presenters will address intervention strategies for home and school environments and will debunk common myths about effective practices.


About the Presenters:

Dr. Sally Grapin is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Montclair State University. She

received her B.A. in Psychology from Brown University and her Ph.D. in School Psychology from the University of Florida. Her research explores the impact of general and racial bullying (both online and offline contexts) on youth achievement and mental health outcomes.


Dr. Samantha Coyle is an Assistant Professor in the Psychology Department at Montclair

State University. She received her B.S. in Psychology from Syracuse University and her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Northern Illinois University. Her research investigates the stress buffering role of social support from family and peer sources in relation to in-person and online victimization and student social-emotional well-being
